OJ WHEELS - FROM CONCENTRATE 2 HARDLINE - 101A - 52MM
OJ’s wheels are a brand from the folks at NHS inc. They Followed the first wheels NHS produced called Road Riders, one of the first wheels to use sealed precision bearings. At the time the most popular wheels were made by Bones and Sims. Sims had a wheel called the Juice, the OJ name is clearly a shot over the bow of their competitor. They first hit the market around 1977 and are famous for the original orange urethane and classic OJ Wheel Shapes.
Over the years OJ wheels have made many specific shapes for street, park, vert, slalom and freestyle skateboarding.
In the 1980’s OJ’s were one of the most popular wheels released under the OJ II Elites banner. The joined NHS’s other ‘Speed Wheels’ brands Bullets and Slimeballs. They collaborated with Christian Hosoi to create a line of OJ Hosoi Rockets. The classic OJ Wheel shapes feature a conical front and radial rear design. OJ’s disappeared from the market for a few years at the end of the 1980’s.
NHS gave the OJ brand another squeeze a few years back and today they have a killer line up of new OJ wheel shapes and formulas. They take their cues from their historical predecessors and are backed by an elite team of athletes around the world.
